Paço da Torre is a guest house located in the north of Portugal, where the history of a XVI century manor meets the modernity of a reconstruction with focus on the guest´s comfort and taking advantage of the beautiful landscape around it. Each room, 6 in the main house and 2 in a separate building, is spacious and has wide beds and modern furniture. There is cable TV and free wifi connection, hairdryer and water boiler. Some of the rooms have air conditioning, whereas others are kept cool by the stone walls. All have central heating during the cold months. You can also relax and enjoy the landscape at one of our outdoor spaces: an infinity pool, a children’s pool, the dining hall with an esplanade, the hammock area in the shade, the lawn with a playground, the small chapel, and the woods. Inside the house you can also spend time in our game room, where you can find a TV, Wii-console, snooker table and game table (chess, cards, etc.). The infinity pool leaning over the Vouga valley with the mountains of Arada and Montemuro in the background is one of Paço da Torre’s highlights. There is also a smaller swimming pool for children, surrounded by a soft non-slippery floor, specially designed for children’s safety. In a separate building you can find a dining hall, exclusively for the guests, with an esplanade and a beautiful view of the landscape. We serve breakfast in the dining hall, and during high season, we also serve lunch and dinners. Our cuisine is traditional homemade dishes of the region. Lunch and dinner are usually subject to pre-order. The Paço is just 50 metres from the centre of Figueiredo Das Donas village. The city of Viseu can be reached in 20 minutes by car and free parking is available on site.

Situated in the old part of the village of Fornos, “Casa Morais” welcomes you! The village of Fornos lies about 5km away of Coimbra, an ancient city in the centre of Portugal. This village was always crossed by important roads going in different directions – north to south, west to Front of the Houseeast. From a big road junction, recently built, higways and country roads spread in all directions. This priviliged geographic situation led, in old times, to the settlement of a legendary number of structures for lodging and feeding travelers - the so called “estalagens” (inns). According to historical sources, five ”estalagens” were available in “the big village of Fornos”, by the end of the 16th century and according to oral tradition one of those was eventually the present “Casa Morais” . “Casa Morais” has seven large double bedrooms, all of them with private bathrooms, one kitchen, one dining room and some small living rooms, where guests can rest and relax. The dining room leads to a pleasant lawn with a barbecue. Close to the yard a parking place is also available. The building materials, mainly stone and wood from the region and the techniques used in the reconstruction work, give the whole house a cosy atmosphere. Buçaco Forest and the historic Palace of Buçaco are 25 km away, and Lousã is 38 km away. On-site parking is free.

The house, a mansion dated from the 18th century, is located in Fataunços, a small and well preserved village, 22 km from the Beira Alta capital district, Viseu. On the first floor is a long corridor leading to six large double bedrooms, with high ceilings and large windows. Each bedroom has antique furniture and beautiful fabrics. Some are very spacious with fireplace and large modern bathrooms. Second Floor A separate staircase leads to a small open hallway on the second floor. On this floor, there are 3 private bedrooms, a bathroom and a little sitting room. There is also a large attic. Exterior The Manor House is located in a beautiful garden with tropical plants and trees. Sitting near the swimming pool and surrounded by a small private forest, the garden offers tranquility and a peaceful atmosphere with a fantastic view of the village of Luso.
