Treat Your Senses! Our Ecolodge is located on the Azuero Peninsula west coast in the Mariato district about a one hour drive south of Santiago, Veraguas and close to several beaches. We invite you to explore the prestine and beautiful western Azuero coastline in Veraguas Province. Heliconia Bed & Breakfast has comfortable accommodations next to our botanical garden, and presents an ideal base for exploring nearby Coiba Island National Park, Cerro Hoya National Park, & Cebaco Island. Our four spacious bedrooms are for two guests each, but can of course be occupied by only one. If you travel with a child under the age of 12 we can provide you with an extra bed in your room. All rooms have ceiling fans and hot showers, one room has air conditioning. Guests are welcomed with a drink on the house, our extensive continental breakfast is included and served in our restaurant. With a timely request we can prepare a delicious buffet style meal with fresh local ingredients for you. |

This area was originally discovered as a surf destination because of its now famous point break. This remote paradise is also growing in popularity amongst the diving community. For good reason as both local dives and dives within nearby Coiba National Park are spectacular! We offered three different types of accommodations: The Butterfly Villa is a comfortable private space that sleeps five with two double beds one which has a bunk. This villa is equipped with air conditioning, hot water and small fridge. The Bird Villa is a two story dwelling with a large terrace and private bathroom downstairs. Four sleep comfortably on two double beds and can enjoy the small terrace upstairs. This cabana is equipped with air conditioning, hot water, small fridge and hammocks. The Gecko Villa is the newest addition to La Buena Vida. Two sleep comfortably in a queen bed and can relax in a hammock on the private terrace. The Gecko Villa is equipped with private bath, hot water, air conditioning, ceiling fan and small fridge. |
