The house has belonged to the Fontanals family since it was built in 1928.
Originally the family who lived in the house had to cultivate the land and work one day a week for the owners in order to pay the rent.
Later on the last inhabitants left the house and moved to the town. The house was uninhabited for some years until 1985, when it was restored, at which point its present owner moved in, living there for 17 years. Today the owner no longer lives at the property and it has opened its doors to independent rural tourism.
