| The Fort of Our Lady of the Rosary, better known as Forte de São Francisco, is located in Chaves, in the parish of Santa Maria Maior, in Chaves County, District of Vila Real, in Portugal. Along with the Forte de São Neutel, this Fort, dominant on the hill of Pedisqueira, adjacent to the Tâmega River and the ancient Roman Bridge, intended to defend the city, on the Galician border, during the period of the Restoration War. With 58 inviting and quiet rooms; carefully restored in a timeless style, to provide an environment of elegance and maximum comfort. The rooms are divided into three categories: 42 Standard rooms, 12 Premium and 4 Junior Suites,with air conditioning, TV, minibar, a private bathroom and free WiFi access. Restaurant "Cozinha do Convento" Located in the Conventual building and inserted in a warm and refined surrounding, the Restaurant "Cozinha do Convento" invites you to enjoy a suggestive offer of Portuguese and regional cuisine dishes accompanied by a quality service. Characterized by two separate rooms and with a total capacity for 200 people this space has a privileged panoramic view over the gardens of the hotel and surrounding mountains. Typical Restaurant "A Taverna" Located at the south gate of the fort and built inside the wall, the Typical Tavern presents itself as a sui generis space, and a decor that reminds the taverns of early times. This space, with capacity for 40 people, allows you to relish a variety of snacks and local dishes in a relaxed and informal environment. Located along the southwest bastion, the Events Room is a space dedicated to all kinds of events from weddings, baptisms and gala dinners, among others. This place recently opened, with capacity for 300 people and contemporary decor, with an independent kitchen, as well as all necessary facilities to conduct such events. Lobby Bar Located in the Military building and near the Reception, the Lobby Bar is characterized by a bright and welcoming space, ideal for relaxing and unwinding alone, with friends or family. In this space, with capacity for 40 people, you can consult the daily press and also experience and enjoy one of the many cocktails that we have available in the menu. Swimming Pool Bar Installed in the garden surrounding the pool, is the ideal place in summer for a refreshing drink or indulge in one of the many snacks that are part of the menu. |
